Helical piers, also known as anchors, piles or srew piles, are deep foundation solutions used to secure new or repair existing
foundations,a modern improvement to traditional cement footings. Each pier consists of an engineered steel post with screw-like
helices. Helical pile is extendable base equipment which is made up of helical engineered metallic plates that are attached to a
central steel shaft using a round or rectangular cross-section. The steel plate thickness, diameter, number, and helices operate
are determined through the restricted or supported arrangement's minimal design life, the ecological rust, and geotechnical
parameters, along with the design fill demands.
Spiral ground pile is a new type of foundation building material, which can partially replace the traditional reinforced concrete
pouring construction technology, making the building foundation more flexible and fast. It saves the construction cost of ground
leveling, waste soil treatment and excavation, and can be widely used in foundation construction in all walks of life.


A complete Power Shaft Assembly consists of a lead helix section, extension(s) and guy termination other attachment.  The helix size (diameter) and number of helices are selected for the required holding strength.  The shaft size and rating is selected based on the necessary holding strength and installation torque requirement.  The guy attachment is chosen based on the number of guys

Extensions with helix are placed directly after the lead section (no bare extensions in between). They are used when additional bearing area is needed and to develop increased installation torque.

Solar Ground Screw Helical Piles Anchor for Ground Solar Mounting System

Consists of solid square shafts, ranging from 1.5″ to 2″. The piles are typically used for ultimate loads between 100 and 650 kN (25-150 kips) but have been tested to loads in excess of 900 kN (200 kips) in unique situations.
Square shaft products are generally used in small to moderate loading applications, and they provide excellent tension resistance. Square shaft piles are able to penetrate dense and cobble-rich soil when compared to their helical pipe pile equivalents, but they have lower resistance to buckling and negligible lateral load resistance.
In applications where tension is the primary consideration, we recommend the Square Shaft Piers. They have several advantages over the typical square shaft anchors.

Composition:
•    square solid shaft 1 1/2" thru 2″ O.D. typical.
•    Solid round cornered Square (RCS), yield strength of grade 70 or 90. 
•    Ultimate compression/tension axial capacity: 57 to 200 kip. 
•    Circular tapered plates (helices) are welded to the center of the shaft.
•    Helix diameters can range between 6″ - 48″
•    with a thickness of 3/8″ - 1″.
•    Helix pitch will range from 3″ - 6″
•    Hot dipped galvanized per ASTM A123 or bare steel options available
•    Coupling bolts are heavy hex bolt as per ASTM A325
